This policy explains the basic information RuneHaven SMP may collect through the website, Discord, store, and Minecraft server. It is written for a community Minecraft server and should be reviewed by a qualified professional if formal legal advice is required.

Information we may collect

We may receive information you provide directly, such as your Minecraft username, Discord username, support messages, forms, bug reports, ban appeals, store support requests, or screenshots you send to staff. Payment information is handled by the payment or store provider and is not stored directly by this website.

Server and website data

Like most websites and game servers, we may collect technical data such as IP address, browser or device details, access logs, gameplay logs, chat moderation logs, anti-cheat alerts, command logs, and connection history. This helps protect the server, investigate issues, and improve performance.

How information is used

Information may be used to operate the server, provide support, moderate the community, prevent abuse, process store rewards, improve the website, investigate bugs, and communicate important updates.

Third-party services

RuneHaven SMP may use third-party platforms such as Discord, Tebex or other store providers, analytics, hosting, security tools, and Minecraft-related services. Those platforms may have their own privacy policies.

Ban appeal submissions

If you submit a ban appeal, Google Forms collects your Minecraft username, contact details, ban reason or date, and the explanation you provide. Responses are saved to RuneHaven’s linked Google Sheet and can be read by people with access to that Sheet. The form does not collect your Google account email address. Google processes the form and stores responses in the account that owns it. Staff keep an appeal while it is needed for review and moderation. Do not include passwords, payment details, or unrelated sensitive information.

Website voting & leaderboard

When you vote

Cloudflare Turnstile checks your request. Your Minecraft name, IP address and vote time are sent to RuneHaven’s vote receiver to process rewards. Only submit your own Minecraft name; this form does not verify account ownership.

Your daily cooldown

One website vote is allowed per Minecraft name and internet connection every 24 hours. The cooldown database stores your lowercase name, a protected hash of your IP address, a request reference and its status. These cooldown records expire after 24 hours and are removed as later votes are processed.

What appears publicly

The leaderboard displays Minecraft names, confirmed website vote totals and ranks. It does not display IP addresses, protected IP hashes or request references. Votes on external listing sites are not included.

Vote history

Confirmed website votes are stored separately with the lowercase Minecraft name, vote time and request reference to calculate monthly and all-time rankings. This history is retained until staff remove it. It contains no IP address or IP hash. Monthly rankings use UTC calendar months. Server records and hosting logs may be retained separately.

Minecraft head avatars

We resolve public Minecraft names and account IDs through Mojang or the PlayerDB public profile cache, retrieve the skin texture, and request head images from MCHeads using that texture. Requests pass through our website so your browser does not contact the avatar provider directly. Cached skins may take time to reflect a recent skin change; an unavailable skin displays a generic avatar.
