Terms of Service
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the RuneHaven SMP website, connecting to the Minecraft server, or participating in our Discord community, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.
These terms apply to all players, visitors, and members of the RuneHaven SMP community regardless of how they access our services.
Eligibility
RuneHaven SMP is open to all players with a valid, licensed copy of Minecraft: Java Edition. By joining, you confirm that you are either:
- 13 years of age or older; or
- Using the server with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.
We reserve the right to deny access to any player at our discretion.
Community Rules
All players are expected to conduct themselves with respect toward other members of the community. The following rules apply at all times across the server and our Discord:
- Respect all players. Harassment, hate speech, bullying, discrimination, or targeted abuse of any kind will result in immediate action.
- No doxxing. Sharing real-world personal information of other players without consent is strictly prohibited.
- Respect builds and claims. Griefing, raiding outside of designated zones, or intentionally destroying another player's work is not permitted.
- No spamming or advertising. Do not spam chat, advertise other servers, or post unsolicited links.
- Follow staff instructions. Server staff have final authority in all disputes. Disrespecting or ignoring staff direction will result in punishment.
- Speak English in public chats. This ensures staff can moderate effectively. Private messages may be in any language.
Prohibited Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent ban without appeal:
- Cheating & hacking. Use of hacked clients, X-ray resource packs, auto-clickers, or any modification that provides an unfair advantage.
- Exploiting bugs. Deliberately exploiting server bugs or duplication glitches. Bugs must be reported to staff immediately.
- Ban evasion. Connecting to the server using an alternate account while banned.
- Chargebacks. Initiating a fraudulent chargeback for any store purchase.
- Threats or illegal activity. Making threats of real-world harm, or engaging in any activity that violates applicable law.
Store & Purchases
RuneHaven SMP offers optional purchases through our store powered by Tebex. By making a purchase you agree to the following:
- All sales are final. Refunds are not guaranteed and are handled at our discretion, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
- Cosmetics only. All store items are cosmetic or quality-of-life in nature. We do not sell items that provide a gameplay advantage over non-paying players.
- Delivery. Perks are applied to your Minecraft account. Delivery may require you to be online and may take up to 24 hours in the event of technical issues.
- Chargebacks. Initiating a fraudulent payment dispute will result in a permanent ban from all RuneHaven services with no possibility of appeal.
- Server closure. In the unlikely event that the server permanently closes, no refunds will be issued for prior purchases.
Bans & Enforcement
RuneHaven SMP staff reserve the right to mute, kick, temporarily ban, or permanently ban any player for violation of these terms or for conduct deemed detrimental to the community, at their sole discretion.
Ban appeals may be submitted through our Discord server. Decisions made by senior staff are final. Purchasing store items does not exempt a player from punishment or guarantee a successful appeal.
Intellectual Property
Minecraft is the intellectual property of Mojang Studios / Microsoft. RuneHaven SMP operates as a community server in accordance with Mojang's End User License Agreement (EULA) and Commercial Usage Guidelines.
All original content created by RuneHaven SMP — including but not limited to custom plugins, graphics, and written content — remains the property of RuneHaven SMP and may not be reproduced without permission.
Disclaimers & Liability
RuneHaven SMP is a community project provided "as is" without any warranty of uptime, data permanence, or continuous availability. We reserve the right to modify, reset, or discontinue the server or any of its features at any time without notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RuneHaven SMP and its staff shall not be liable for any loss of in-game progress, items, currency, or data arising from server resets, rollbacks, technical failures, or any other cause.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of any RuneHaven SMP service following a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Significant changes will be announced in our Discord server in advance where possible.
